（一） 介词的用法

介词和他后面的宾语一起构成介词短语，介词短语在句子里可以做表语、定语或状语。如， He is from Japan. （二） 介词的位置

(1) 介词一般用在名词或者代词前，如 There is a garden behind the house.

(2) 介词宾语为疑问词时，介词须后置，如， What are they talking about?

（三） 介词和其他词构成的固定搭配 (1) 动词+介词，如，look after, wait for 等

(2) 动词+副词+介词，如，get on with, catch up with 等 (3) 动词+名词+介词，如 take part in, make friends with 等

(4) 连系动词+形容词+介词，如，be angry with , be proud of 等。 （四） 需要注意的问题

1. at , on , in 表示的时间的区别

at 用在某个具体时刻前，如，at nine o’clock, at 2:30等。 on 用在具体某一天或某一天上午，下午或者晚上前，如，on Sunday, on May 1, on the morning of June 2.等。

in 用在年，月和季节前。如，in 2008, in September, in autumn. 2. at ,in 表示地点的区别

at 表示小地方，in表示大地方，如

I will send you a message as soon as I arrive in Shanghai. We arrived at the bus station at the same time. 3. in , to , on 表示方位方面的区别 in 表示在某地范围之内，如， Guangzhou is in the south of China.

to 表示在某地范围之外，互不相连， Japan is to the east of China.

on 表示两地接壤相连，如， Mongolia is on the north of China.

4. above, over和on 的区别 above 和over 都表示，“在。……上方”，above指在某物上方任意一点， 不接触，反义词below; over 一般只垂直方向，其反义词是under, on 表示”在……上面” 互相接触，如， We flew above the clouds.

There is a bridge over the river. There is a magazine on the desk. 5. with ,by ,in 表示“用”的区别

with 表示具体的工具和人体器官。By 表示使用的方法和手段。In 常指用某种语言。如 She opened the bottle with a knife. I usually go to school by bike.

We enjoy talking to each other in English. 6. between和among的区别

among 指三者或三者以上的同类事物之间。 between 多指两者之间， France is the biggest among the three countries. Switzerland lies between France，Italy 7. in 和after表示时间的区别

in +时间段：与将来时连用 ， 表示从现在算起到若干时间以后 after +时间段：与过去时连用，表示从过去算起到若干时间以后 My father will return in two days. She left for London after a week. 8. for 和since 的区别

for 后接时间段，since后接时间点。如 I have been a teacher for more than 3 years. I have been a teacher since 2008. 9. except, besides 的区别

except,表示“除了…以外， 不包括”把某人和某物排除在外， besides表示“除了…以外， 还有”把某人和某物包括在内。 I go to school every day except Saturday and Sunday. I have three other hats besides this one. 10. across , through 的区别

across 表面通过, through内部通过
