Teaching goals:

1．能正确听、说、读、写形容词tall, light, young, old, heavy，掌握

它们的用法。

2．掌握形容词比较级和最高级的变化规则。 3. 了解形容词比较级的用法。

Teaching important points：

1. 掌握比较级和最高级的变化规则。 2. 能够正确运用形容词的比较级。

Teaching difficult points:

1. 一些形容词good、well bad old far many 等比较级与最高级的不规则变化。 2. 形容词最高级与比较级之间的转换。

Teaching procedures & ways:

Step1 Leading in (5minutes)

1. 复习形容词原级的用法。 （1）修饰词：very、so、too、quite （2）用法：

a. as +形容词原级+ as (肯) 和….一样 not so…as (否) b. the same … as…

c. 倍数 +as+ 形容词原级 + as d. less… than… 不如

2. Teachers: Showing them pictures of Liu Xiang and Yao Ming. I am tall.

I am tall … than you.

Students: Finishing the blank in PPT.

We have known comparative adjectives. Then we will learn the some further information about comparative adjectives.

Step 2 形容词比较级规则变化 (10minutes)

a. Showing them some pictures and introduce them summarize the rules.

(5minutes)

1. The green ball is _____ than the red ball. 2. Plate A is_______ than plate B.

3. The orange bag is________ than the black one. 4. The girl is______ than that girl.

b. Summarize the rules. (5minutes)

1. 单音节和少数双音节单词，一般在词尾加“er”或“est”。 clean, tall, small, cheap , short, long, light, high 2. 以不发音字母“e”结尾的单词，直接在词尾加 “r”或“st”。 nice, late, close, fine, large, free, rude

3. 以重读闭音节结尾的单词，如果词尾只有一个辅音字母时，应先双写这一辅音字母，再加“er”或“est”。

4. 以辅音字母+y结尾的单词，应先改“y”为“i”, 再加“er或“est”。 happy , easy, heavy, healthy, busy, lucky, pretty, sunny,funny 5. 其他双音节单词和多音节单词，都在其前面加“more”或“most”。 beautiful, interesting, senior, tired

1. 比较级的修饰语有 : much, far, even, a little, a lot, a bit, rather,

still, a great deal (大量) , a lot , any+ adj./adv. 比较级 2. 倍数+ 比较级+than

eg. This room is twice larger than that one. 3.比较级+and+比较级, 表示“越来越”

eg. warmer and warmer, more and more beautiful 4. the+比较级… the+ 比较级 越…越…

eg. The more you read the book, the more interesting you found. 5. 当比较级后没有than, 而为of the two的结构,比较级前加the. eg. The taller of the two girls is Mary.

Step 5 最高级用法: (8minutes)

1. 形容词最高级用于in+ 范围、场所, of +复数意义的词 2. 副词最高级不需加the

eg. Jim goes to bed latest in my family.) 3. 比较级和最高级互换(注意比较的范围) eg. Shanghai is the largest city in China.
