教材分析
本课是北师大版《初中英语》八年级上册教材第3单元的第8课，话题为奥运会。本课为本单元的第二课，主要谈论2008年奥运会的部分项目及奥运获奖者情况，介绍了参赛运动员的年龄之最,身高之最和跳高,跳远,举重三个比赛项目的最好成绩。作者以介绍2008年北京奥运会运动员之最的文本形式，来承载形容词副词最高级这一语言形式的学习，传达运动员坚持不懈的奥运精神。
