摘要：Process used for manufacturing a sleeve-like intermediate product (22-1, 22-2)from knitted spring steel comprises cutting a tube (12) of knitted spring steel laid flat toform a two-layered knitted strip (16) perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of thetube and molding the resulting two-layered knitted component (20) into the sleeve-likeintermediate product. The knitted component is bent to form the sleeve-shape so thatthe cut edges or the fold lines of the knitted component lie directly adjacent to eachother and can be joined together. Preferred Features: The cut edges or the fold lines arejoined together on the application of radial force.
