摘要：The new steel converter has a closure, especially of the slide valve type, on itsmelt tapping channel. The novel feature is an inlet basin (9) for the tapping channel (4),which is built into the converter wall (3), near the opening (8). The basin cross section (a),is greater than that (b) of the channel, and smaller than that (c) of the converter. In thetapping position of the converter (1), above the closure (6) a storage region is formed forthe melt. The side surfaces (10) of the basin, make a transition into the base, where theopening is located.
