Teaching Procedures
Step 1 Grammar Focus (about 10 minutes)
Revise the target language presented in previous classes by making up conversations.
T:Who can show me how to make a banana milk shake? S1:First, peel the bananas. S2:How many bananas do we need? S1:Three.
S1:Next, put the bananas in the blender. Then, pour the milk into the blender.

The teacher divides countable nouns and uncountable nouns in the picture in la into two groups on the blackboard.
The teacher gives a picture about a sandwich and ask students to make a list and write them on the book.
Have two students read the dialogue in lb.
Let students take turns asking partner what he or she likes in sandwiches. Step 4 1c-le (about 5 minutes)
The teacher gives a picture about a sandwich again. Let students listen and circle the words that they hear.
T:We have known the ingredients of making a sandwich. Then what should be put first? What should be put next? What should be put finally? Look at 1d. Let’s listen again. Write the ingredients in the order we hear them.
After listening, check the answers.
T:We have known the ingredients and the process of making a sandwich. Now let’s practice how to make a sandwich.
Let students tell partner how to make a sandwich like the example in le. Step 5 Section A 2d (about 10 minutes) First, read the conversation for students.
Second, let students make clear of the meanings of every sentence and some important phrases.
Third, let students read the conversation for three times.
Fourth, show the key words of every sentence on the blackboard and ask students to retell every sentence.
At the end, ask several pairs of students to role-play the conversation. Step 5 Extension Section A 3c (about 10 minutes)
T:There are many things that we can do step by step, such as planting a tree, making beef noodles and so on. Turn to page 59. Let’s do 3c. How many things are listed?
S:Four things.
T:Yes. Do you know how to plant a tree? You should answer it like this:First, dig a hole. Then... Are you clear?
S:Yes.
