Then, in the twin roll casting apparatus for casting the metallicstrip constituted so that the plate holders 25 can be tilted in the roll longitudinaldirection with the horizontal axial line in the roll lateral direction as the center and theside part weir plates 18 can automatically be matched with the end surfaces of thecasting roll 1 by tilting the plate holders, compressive coil springs as the tilting resistantmeans to the tilting of the plate holders 25 are arranged.
