It is widely accepted that modern society is the most competitive one throughout history. Success is never easy, only those who welcome different perspectives and dare to change their original views will be more accomplished. My reasons are articulated as following.

Initially, more different ideas we embrace, less possibility we make irrational decisions. As the saying goes, to error is human. The truth is that it is quite ordinary for anyone to commit mistakes. Therefore, teammates' ideas are particularly necessary, especially when they point out where our errors are. By the way, those who have a willingness to accept different even opposite thoughts tend to determine whether to modify policies they hold so that they can think twice before leap. Finally, at the least cost, they obtain achievements.

Further, being receptive to new ideas can help people to better accommodate to the constantly changeable environment and thus become successful. Varied environment is the common issue no matter what fields we are engaged in. Sticking to static opinions in the intense and variable campaigns will never adapt to the complex circumstances. Instead, we ought to take adjustments to meet the stricter and more particular clients in time, otherwise we are certain to face the risk of being replaced by other rivals sooner or later, no matter how powerful we are at present. Take Kodak as an example, at the beginning Kodak obtained an absolute advantage over the other competitors in the field of films. At the same time, it soon emerged that the new-born digital cameras were at rising growth and showed great potential. Full of regret, Kodak rejected to transform until its film cameras fail to compete with digital cameras, even nearly announced bankruptcy. Until now, it is virtually impossible for Kodak to revise yet. The lesson of Kodak applies to any individual who is blind to new ideas and dare not to change.

To sum up, we can conclude that showing acceptance to new ideas and courage to alter provided that necessary for the sake of achieving success based on the reasons above.
