摘要：A system and method for reducing polarization dependent loss in opticalcircuits is disclosed. The system includes a first optical device having an output, and apolarization controller optically coupled to the first optical device for adjusting apolarization state of the output of the first optical device. The system further includes a

second optical device optically coupled to the polarization controller. Adjusting thepolarization state of the output of the first optical device alters a total polarization-dependent loss for the cascaded device system. A series of fiber optic loops can be usedto adjust the output of the first optical device. A PDL measuring device can be insertedafter the second optical device to provide feedback to the polarization controller, sothat the controller may be tuned to adjust the polarization to a desired state.
