A first emulator (30a) 30a configured in a same-to-same (X-X) modeconverts subject code (10) into target code (20) for execution by a subject processor (12).Execution of the subject code (10) natively by the subject processor (12) is comparedagainst execution through the first emulator (30a), to verify that program codeconversion. Optionally, the first emulator (30a) is then used to incrementally validateprogram code conversion (i.e. optimisation and/or translation) performed by a secondemulator (30b), such as a this-to-that (X-Y) mode emulator (30a) running on a targetprocessor (22).
